Moving Members to a New Forum

Hi there,

I have a quick question about database importing etc that I couldn't find an answer to whilst looking. I'm setting up a test board to upgrade from 3.0.7 to 3.0.9. Whilst I'm doing this I want to completly re-design the forum, reinstall hacks and add new hacks, etc. Basically I wanted to recreate the forum from scratch, and then re-add the member accounts if possible.

When restoring a database, I notice that it restores everything, and thus doing this would overwrite the skin templates. Is there a way just to import the members, forum info and posts without it overwriting the templates?
