    Php and MySql are not Talking

    Hi,

    I am new to this. I am trying to get Mysql to work with PHP. I have Win2k3 IIS, PHP Version 4.4.0.0 (IASPI) and MySql 4.1 build 18. When I run vb_test.php, I get a fail on MySql and all of the MySQL Permission Requirements. I've researched all that I can until I look like this . I know that PHP is NOT connecting to MySql and I know that the Services are running - I can use the CLI to verify. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

    Thanks.

    J

      Hi,

      Yes, I just fixed it had to do with OLD_PASSWORD in MySQL

      SET PASSWORD FOR 'username'@'localhost' = OLD_PASSWORD('password');

      Thanks for a reply
