    Ok i fixed it

    The password in config.php

    needs to be

    $dbpassword = 'xxxxxx';

    This is without your username prefix!

    This wasnt clear or i am a fool!

    Database Step 2 Install Error

    Hi

    I am getting

    The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file

    MySql is 4.1.x
    php is ver 5
    (just waiting for them to confirm exact versions)

    My config.php is correct

    $servername = 'localhost';

    $dbusername = 'boXX3_cwlfke;
    $dbpassword = 'xxxxxxxxxxx';

    $dbname = 'boXX3_bad123456';

    My host is definatley 'localhost'

    I have made a new mysql database in cpanel named bad123456 which shows in mysql as "boXX3_bad123456"

    I have added the user with the password and given all priveleges

    My host is lunarpages.com

    I am at a loss ?
