  • What is this?

In a member of my forum's profile, there is a section that says "membername is not a member of any public groups"... I've been trying to figure out what that means but all I can seem to find is usergroups like administartors, moderator, etc. I think I'm just calling it the wrong thing. Where can I find out more about this? Thanks!

If you have any Public Usergroups, and a user is a member of them, they will be listed there.

I'm a little confused. So, if I wanted to make a forum for the members of my dog owner's club, and wanted to make a usergroup for each of the twenty chapters, I would do that by going to admincp -> usergroups -> add new usergroup, right? That way I could create more forums that would only be visible to certain chapters for each chapter to talk in. Is there a way I could add a spot in the registration process for a user to pick which usergroup they should be part of?
