Displaying how many downloads from attachment.Urgent.

Hi i want to display the amount of times the attachement has been downlaoded in my forum next to the attatchement.


At the moment next to the attachement i have

gtcaveportal.zip (1.03 MB, 2 views)


is the 2 views the amount of times it has been downloaded? Because i downloaded it 8 times to test it and it still displays 2.

any help please.

Yes, but the view count is not updated instantly for preformance reasons.

yes i want to make it instant. How will this affect my forum? I have a small forum at the moment with not alot of users etc.

AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Server Settings and Optimization Options > Update Attachment Views Immediately > Yes

Depending on the size it could cause a significat difference in load, for the time being it should not be an issue if you are a small forum.
