How do I edit the registration fields and validate members?

Hello,
I run a sports card dealing forum, it is now over 1500 members. What I need to do is edit the registration fields so it will allow the person registering to enter in "References". I want a large box and have the person put 1 email per line (max of 10 emails). Under "References", it want it to say "Please list references so we can verify your background". Then I want all apps sent to a certain address so we can check each member, and then before they can be a "member", we will have to validate each. Is this possible? Thanks

Yes (for the most part), create a custom profile field that is a multi-line text box. Make the profile field required. Edit the "Registered" usergroup to have no permissions. Whenever someone signs up, they'll go to that group. Check that group often and whenever you see someone there, check their profile field. If everything checks up, move them to a new usergroup with full permissions.

I'm not sure about the email thing though, you'll probably have to ask for a plugin or hack over at www.vbulletin.org about that.

OK, that helped a little bit. Can I set it up to have it whenever they register, it will just email me with their forum and all the info, so then I can email their references, then check, and/or deny them with the click of a button. And depending on which I click, it would send an email saying they were denied/accepted. Also, how do I edit the registration fields?
