avatars were deleted and i cannot remove them from the profiles broken images

  • avatars were deleted and i cannot remove them from the profiles broken images

    searched the forum didnt come up with much,..

    i removed all the avatars in the forum avatar manager but,.. that didnt remove them from the profiles.. and i dont want to edit each of the 450 profiles / members i have.

    how do i stop the broken images?

    This is untested so backup your database first. Then run this query to remove these avatars from the user table:

    UPDATE user SET avatarid='0';

    Note: The should remove ALL the references to non-custom avatars that you had uploaded via the Admin CP.

      ok i still need to remove the custom avatats as well how do i do that?

        Backup your database, then run this query:

        DELETE FROM customavatar;
        Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)
