How do I insure Admins do not lose their Log-in after 15 minutes???

How do I insure Admins do not lose their Log-in after 15 minutes???

Unlike browsing the forums where the log-in for an admin stays in tact, we are experiencing that the admins are being either logged out or losing their log-in when in the admin control panel, which is annoying.

    What options do we have?

There is no option to keep you logged into the AdminCP forever, and for good reason, it is a security issue.

It was set to NO (which should have kept the admins logged in for one hour (but did not). Perhaps the one hour is based on a reliable PC clock or something.

Anyway, I changed it to YES, which I assume will keep the admins logged in for at least a few hours or until they manually log off.

The maximum this will allow with this setting on is one hour.

Steve, we are still losing our Admin Log In after only a few "minutes" using either setting or YES or NO.

Where else can we look to correct this?

Should still add an option for this, and say "Enable this and you will not get any support cause we feel its insecure"

This is the only setting available:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Admin Control Panel Options -> Timeout Admin Login -> No

Enable this option if you wish to timeout administrators from the control panel due to inactivity after the cookie timeout occurs, else it will be automatically timed out after an hour. Logins to the admincp are more secure with this enabled since the timeframe for which someone could possible hijack your session is considerably less.

Why can't I author a New Thread in this Ver 3.0 Forum???

We are a registered licensed user for VB and are running Ver 3.07. But I can no longer author a New Thread to inquire of a problem we are having.

The error message states that The Administrator has restricted my privileges.

                    Maybe this:
We are receiving numerous reports of people saying that they are unable to post messages at this board. The vast majority of these problems can be resolved by loading a page containing an editor (quick reply, newreply.php etc.) and hitting the refresh button on your browser.
