    how do I make it so my members can attach other files to there post such as mp3, and wav other den just jpg, giff?

    Admin Control Panel > Attachments > Extentions & Size (http://www.yoururl.com/forumdir/admi...t.php?do=types) > Add new Attachment Type button > and fill in the details.

      ok thanks, how come when I try to upload a mp3 file I get this error

      Blow (Produced By Shelta).mp3:
      File Too Large. Exceeds PHP's limit of 2.00 MB.

      how do I set this file limit larger? where do I got to change this?

          that didnt help I do i change the limit from 2.00 mb to a higher 1 i choose?

              In addition to the vB settings, the allowed size of the attachments depends on the PHP and MySQL configuration. You may need to check and change the upload size for both PHP and for MySQL. Note, you'll need to have root access to the server to do this (or have your host do it.) Make these changes to php.ini:

              upload_max_filesize = xM

              ..and my.cnf (or my.ini for Windows systems)

              set-variable=max_allowed_packet=xM

              Change it to the size ('x') you want in Megabytes. Restart the webserver and MySQL after making these changes.

                lol i still dont understand I host my own site so I have access to all files and mysql, so wat file exactly am I going to open and edit?

                  You have your own dedicated server? If so, then I suggest finding someone knowledgable with servers rather than trying this yourself. It's one of those things that if you have to ask, then you shouldn't be doing it.
