Guests without an IP

I show in WOL page a guest that is displayed without having an IP address and without the "?" icon displayed. (For other members and guests the IPs are displayed.)
Any ideas how can it be done, or what it means?
(I have seen this more than just today.)

They are probably accessing from behind a proxy.

Wouldn't that mean that it should at least be displayed the proxy's IP, even if it's an anonymous one?

The proxy may be blocking all this info.

I didn't know that there are proxies that can do this!
(Does anyone know the ip/port of such a free proxie? )

I'm not a proxy expert by any means so I'm only guessing. Whatever it is, something is blocking the info on their end.
