Change welcome/register information on forum main page

how do i change the welcome and register message that is displayed on the front forum page? can i include an image in this?

Admin Control Panel > Languages & Phrases > Search in Phrases > Enter part of the unique text and press search. When found click the edit button behind the phrase to edit it. Click the [copy default text] in the English translation box and then you can modify the phrase to your liking. Yes, using normal xhtml you can include images.
