    The changes should be very similar and use the same code. The templates are slightly different though.

    In the threadbit, add the red code:

    Code:
    			<if condition="$show['gotonewpost']"><a href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]goto=newpost&amp;t=$thread[threadid]"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/firstnew.gif" alt="$vbphrase[go_to_first_new_post]" border="0" /></a></if>
    			$thread[movedprefix]
    			$thread[typeprefix]
    			<a [color=red]<if condition="$show['forumlink']">target="_blank"</if>[/color] href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]t=$thread[threadid]$thread[highlight]"><if condition="$show['gotonewpost']"><strong>$thread[threadtitle]</strong><else />$thread[threadtitle]</if></a>
    			<if condition="$thread['pagenav']"><span class="smallfont" style="white-space:nowrap">( <img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/multipage.gif" alt="$vbphrase[multipage_thread]" border="0" /> $thread[pagenav] <if condition="$show[pagenavmore]">... <a href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]t=$thread[threadid]&amp;goto=lastpost$thread[highlight]">$vbphrase[last_page]</a></if> )</span></if>
    This will make it so thread links in search results will open in a new window. I tested this and it works.

    In the search_results_postbit template, add the red code:

    Code:
    <tr>
    	<td class="alt1">
    		<div class="smallfont" style="float:$stylevar[right]">
    			$vbphrase[replies]: <strong>$post[replycount]</strong>
    		</div>
    		<div>
    			<img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_statusicon]/thread$post[statusicon].gif" alt="" border="0" />
    			$post[typeprefix] <a [color=red]target="_blank"[/color] href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]t=$post[threadid]$post[highlight]"><strong>$post[threadtitle]</strong></a>
    		</div>
    		<div class="smallfont" style="float:$stylevar[right]">
    			$vbphrase[views]: <strong>$post[views]</strong>
    		</div>
    		<div class="smallfont">
    			$vbphrase[posted_by]
    			<if condition="$post[userid]"><a href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]" target="_blank">$post[username]</a><else />$post[username]</if>
    		</div>

    		<div class="alt2" style="margin:$stylevar[cellpadding]px 0px $stylevar[cellpadding]px 0px; padding:$stylevar[cellpadding]px; border:2px groove">
    			<div class="smallfont"><em>
    				<if condition="$post[posticon]"><img class="inlineimg" src="$post[posticonpath]" alt="$post[posticontitle]" border="0" /></if>
    				<a [color=red]target="_blank"[/color] href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]p=$post[postid]$post[highlight]#post$post[postid]">$post[posttitle]</a><br />
    				<br />
    				$post[pagetext]
    			</em></div>
    		</div>
    	</td>
    </tr>
    This will make it so the thread and post title links in "postbit search results" will open in a new window. I tested this and it works.

    Jake, I am having trouble finding the exact text example you gave me with the red to insert within the two you provided:

    Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Threadbit Templates -> threadbit

    And the post display uses this template:

    Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Search Templates -> search_results_postbit

    The thread display uses this template:

    Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Threadbit Templates -> threadbit

    Add a blank target to the link just like before.

    And the post display uses this template:

    Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Search Templates -> search_results_postbit

    How do you set it up for first, thread displays, and then post displays?

    That is a different template. Which set of search results? There are different kinds... where thread links are displayed and posts are displayed.

    Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Navigation / Breadcrumb Templates -> navbar

    Find this code, add the red code (two instances):

    Code:
    		<if condition="$show['popups']">
    			<if condition="$show['searchbuttons']">
    				<if condition="$show['member']">
    				<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getnew" accesskey="2" [color=red]target="_blank"[/color]>$vbphrase[new_posts_nav]</a></td>
    				<else />
    				<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getdaily" accesskey="2">$vbphrase[todays_posts]</a></td>
    				</if>
    				<td id="navbar_search" class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]" accesskey="4">$vbphrase[search]</a> <script type="text/javascript"> vbmenu_register("navbar_search"); </script></td>
    			</if>
    			<if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid']">
    				<td id="usercptools" class="vbmenu_control"><a href="#usercptools">$vbphrase[quick_links]</a> <script type="text/javascript"> vbmenu_register("usercptools"); </script></td>
    			</if>
    		<else />
    			<if condition="$show['searchbuttons']">
    				<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]" accesskey="4">$vbphrase[search]</a></td>
    				<if condition="$show['member']">
    				<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getnew" accesskey="2" [color=red]target="_blank"[/color]>$vbphrase[new_posts_nav]</a></td>
    				<else />
    				<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getdaily" accesskey="2">$vbphrase[todays_posts]</a></td>
    				</if>
    			</if>
    			<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="forumdisplay.php?$session[sessionurl]do=markread">$vbphrase[mark_forums_read]</a></td>
    			<if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid']">
    				<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="#" onclick="window.open('misc.php?$session[sessionurl]do=buddylist&amp;focus=1','buddylist','statusbar=no,menubar=no,toolbar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=250,height=300'); return false;">$vbphrase[open_buddy_list]</a></td>
    			</if>
    		</if>
