    A complete novice here has a few questions

    1) How do I center the logo? (Yes I KNOW the FAQ says to delete the :nbsp tag from the template, and I've done so........but it's still there.

    2) How do I make that user profile bar thing (can't think of a technical term) that appears alongside every post made go horizontal, and not vertically?

    Find this in the default header (Admin CP --> Styles & Templates --> Style Manager --> « ») template:

    HTML Code:
    <tr>
    	<td align="$stylevar[left]"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php?$session[sessionurl]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>
    	<td align="$stylevar[right]">
    		&nbsp;
    <!--
      NEW HEADER &amp; NAVBAR

      Now that the nav buttons are in the
      navbar template, you can stick whatever
      you like into this space.

      This makes it much easier for novice
      admins to customize their header
      template without affecting important
      navigation elements.
    -->
    	</td>
    </tr>
    And replace it with:

    HTML Code:
    <tr>
    	<td align="center"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php?$session[sessionurl]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>
    </tr>
    And it will center the logo.

    You can change this here:

    Admin CP --> vBulletin Options --> Style & Language Settings --> Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template --> Yes
