  • How do I allow moderators to add a poll to an existing thread?

    Before I last updated, my moderators could add a poll to an existing thread from the Thread Tools menu. Now they can not. Is there a way to do this? I can't seem to find the right permissions to toggle in the usergroup manager.

    Check your SHOWTHREAD template (Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Styles Manager -> Your style <<>> -> Show Thread Templates -> SHOWTHREAD) to see if the following code is in there:

    Code:
    	<if condition="$show['addpoll']">
    	<tr>
    		<td class="vbmenu_option"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/addpoll.gif" alt="$vbphrase[add_a_poll]" /> <a href="poll.php?$session[sessionurl]do=newpoll&amp;t=$threadinfo[threadid]">$vbphrase[add_a_poll_to_this_thread]</a></td>
    	</tr>
    	</if>
    If not, add the above after:
    Code:
    		<else />
    			<a href="subscription.php?$session[sessionurl]do=addsubscription&amp;t=$threadid">$vbphrase[subscribe_to_this_thread]</a>
    		</if>
    		</td>
    	</tr>
    	</if>
    Best Regards,

      Our admins can do this on some threads, but not on others. What attributes affect this? is it down to the thread, the forum, or group membership of the thread's original poster? I've checked and can't see a reason for the difference.

      Thanks

        Does anyone have an answer for this? I'm finding this problem in my forum now.
