...show sub-forums?

I don't want links to be shown to the sub-forums.
I want the sub-forums to be displayed like normal forums:
Parent
--Parent
----Child
----Child
--Parent
----Child
----Child

Setting the depth of forums to 2,2,1 does not do what I am looking for.
I thought setting them to 3,3,2 would do the trick, but it doesn't.

The settings that control the "Depth of Forums" have a built-in default limit of 2. Anything past this depth cannot be done without a few simple steps.

First, you should change the settings to be the depth that you want (the depth includes that of categories on the main forum index). You can change this setting here:

Admin CP --> vBulletin Options --> Forum Listings Display Options --> Depth of Forums - Forum Home

In your case above, it'd be 3.

Next, you must go to:

Admin CP --> Styles & Templates --> Style Manager --> « » --> Forum Home Templates

You'll need to copy the contents of either forumhome_forumbit_leve1_nopost or forumhome_forumbit_level2_nopost into a new template: forumhome_forumbit_levelX_nopost. Of course, you'll need to do this for every depth starting at 2 going to whatever you have the above setting set at, replacing X with the depth. Repeat the same process for the templates that end in _post instead of _nopost.
