  • adding a banner

    Hi,

    How do I add elements to my forum? I need to add banners of various shapes and sizes and I have not been able to find out how to do it.

    Thank you

    All of the HTML resides in the templates (AdminCP>Styles&Templates>Style Manager> <<>>) You can find out which template certain HTML is generated from by enabling
    AdminCP>vBulletin Options>General Settings>Add Template Name in HTML Comments.
    I suggest searching for the keyword banner, as there are several tutorials arround on adding banners.

      Thank you! I succeded in finding a place to put in the ad and it worked ok. But now I see that there is a "upcoming events" thing you can put in the navigation bar. That is my guess anyway, because i saw in the FORUMHOME template code this thing called "<if condition="$show['upcomingevents']">".. Right now I don't have any "Upcoming events" in my navigation bar, but I would like to. So I figured you must be able to ativate this menu or something?

      This is the code i talk about: (how do I make that if-condition "true" ?)

      <if condition="$show['upcomingevents']">
      <tbody>
      <tr>
      <td class="thead" colspan="2">
      <a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('forumhome_events')"><img id="collapseimg_forumhome_events" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_thead$vbcollapse[collapseimg_forumhome_events].gif" alt="" border="0" /></a>
      <if condition="$show['todaysevents']">$vbphrase[todays_events]<else /><phrase 1="$vboptions[showevents]">$vbphrase[upcoming_events_for_the_next_x_days]</phrase></if>
      </td>
      </tr>
      </tbody>

      Thanks alot for any suggestions!
