  • Adding a "Your Posts" link to Quick Links menu

    Combining these two tips
    How To Submit A Search Through The URL
    How To Add A Link To The Navbar

    I'm trying to add a search for the user's posts to the quick link menu. I've tried all sorts of variations on the code below, inserted in the appropriate place in the navbar template..

    Code:
    <tr><td class="vbmenu_option">
    <a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]&do=finduser&u=$bbsuserinfo[userid]">
    Your Posts</a></td></tr>
    This particular attempt was taken from the "Find All Posts by [this user]" link in the profile display.

    The Your Posts hyperlink appears in the Quick Link list, and it takes you to search.php okay, but it doesn't pass the required search parameter (in this case the userid). The URL being passed is just
    Code:
    http://[bbsaddress]/forums/search.php?do=finduser&u=

    Can anybody tell me how to tweak the code so that $bbsuserinfo[userid] is passed along with the url?

      And so it is... I'm embarassed to tell you how you how long I've been playing around with this and not seeing that. I figured it was something simple, but not THAT simple!

      Thanks, Icheb!

      For anybody as myopic as I, that's $bbuserinfo, not $bbSuserinfo.
