  • How to add extra backgrounds.

    How does one go about adding mutiple backgrounds? Like for instance I have body and page background but would like to have more to wrap the forums in more color.Anyone know how I could achieve this?

    Can you draw a picture or something? Exact code depends on exactly what you want.

      Ok, well like wee have the grey on the outside and then white and then forum/posts.I want another ring/layer/background, so say grey then white then brown then forum/post boxes.

        Well, try something like this in your header and footer, respectively:

        Code:
        	</td>
        </tr>
        </table>
        <!-- /logo -->

        [color=red]<table align="center" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" border="0">
        <tr>
        <td bgcolor="#123456">[/color]

        <!-- content table -->
        $spacer_open

        $_phpinclude_output
        Code:
        <br />
        <div class="smallfont" align="center">$vbphrase[all_times_are_gmt_x_time_now_is_y]</div>
        <br />

        $spacer_close
        <!-- /content area table -->

        [color=red]</td>
        </tr>
        </table>[/color]

        <form action="$vboptions[forumhome].php" method="get">

        <table cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" class="page" align="center">
        <tr>
        	<if condition="$show['quickchooser']">
        		<td class="tfoot">
        			<select name="styleid" id="ressel" onchange="switch_styleid(this)">
        				<optgroup label="$vbphrase[quick_style_chooser]">
        					$quickchooserbits
        				</optgroup>
        Change the padding and background color to whatever you want.

              Sorry one more. It seems that my whos online and log out screen is smaller then my forums now.....Like its resizing the forum area on those two pages.

                    Ok besides that little thing this is really really awesome Jake. I am finally gonna get that 3D look I have been wanting. Its crazy how a little code such as that makes such a huge difference.

                    Thanks.

                        For some reason its thinner when I check whos online then when on forum home..... Maybe its because I am a admin..... Hmmmm.

                            Yeah its not too bad on lower resolution but it still seems to be resizing by a 1/4 and I tested it with a regular account.

                            Also when I go into the forums I am getting the same result.

                            I did not do the alteration on the surge style just the dial up friendly one. Surge is fine so I know it has to be something with the code or where its placed.

                              Ok, really wierd but I think its fixed itself somehow....... wierd...

                              Jake thanks for the code! My forums are really looking 3D now.The only regret I have is not having this code sooner.

                              Would make a good sticky or something.
