  • removing name of site for better search engine indexing

I think I found that here, But can't seem to find it again.

It has to do with removing the name of the site in any thread that is created. So that the title of the thread is all that is seen

      Hi Floris,
I'm not sure how other browsers work, but in IE take a look at the very top of this window. It reads "Vbulletin Community Forums- removing name of the site for better search engine indexing - Microsoft Internet Explorer"

so it reads (name of site) - (title of thread) - (Type of browser)

Then take a look at the top of this thread

      http://www.worldclassbodybuilding.co...ad.php?t=15823

The title of the site is now gone
so it reads (title of thread) - (type of browser)
Now this only happens within the thread itself. The site name is visable as here when on the forums page.

I could have sworn I found that here.
It's a mod to either forumdisplay or in the templates. like postbit

I just can't seem to find it

      I appreciate the help

        Perhaps this?

Admin Control Panel > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > DropDown : Edit Templates > Expand the showthreads template group > select and open the template SHOWTHREAD.

Near the top you will find:
        Code:
        <title>[color=darkred]$vboptions[bbtitle] -[/color] $thread[title]</title>
. Remove the red text $vboptions[bbtitle] - and you're left over with the thread title and the type of browser

            That worked for me too!
In title bar we now have name of thread, then name of site

In the title bar above Forumdisplay,

How to show name of specific forum before name of site?

(not like the way it is now, showing name of site, then name of specific forum)

            Thanks,
            Mark
