Is there any way to re-index the threads/posts in a 'specific' forum?

  • Is there any way to re-index the threads/posts in a 'specific' forum?

For some reason I can't re-index my threads since upgrading to 3.0.7. But I REALLY need to have the threads in one specific forum be indexed. Is there a way to do this?

Why are you trying to reindex? Have you just done a major upgrade? 2.X > 3.0.X or an import from another software?

Clear your old index before starting and then give it a go.

Its a long and rather intensive server process.

Do you have access to SSH on the server?

I'll pass this on to my tech about clearing the old index. (he has ssh access...)

He tells me that it indexes 50% and then says "Completed".

Just to answer the original question...there's no way to reindex just ONE forum?

Not That I am aware of.

In your DO_NOT_UPLOAD folder, there is a file called search_shell.php. If you let your tech have at this he will be able to reindex your website atad faster though the shell.

Before he does this you should dump your index.
