  • "How do I" delete old redirects en masse?

    Situation:
1 - Somebody starts a thread in the wrong forum
2 - A mod moves the thread to the correct forum.
3 - vB (optionally) leaves a link at the original location (a redirect) to take users to the new thread location.

The redirects are initially useful, but after awhile, a forum can be littered with these redirects.

"How do I" delete the old redirects en masse (and automatically)?
Ideally the redirects would disappear automatically after some fixed time period (e.g., 2 days).

On the mass prune selection page you can select "Is a redirect".

Can/Is this done via a scheduled task?

This requires custom coding a new scheduled task script. We cannot officially support custom coding, however can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.
