Changed License for site... update license??

I inhereted a web based forum from a good friend. His leased license has now (today) expired. I didn't want to have the license listed under his name, so I purchased a owned license for the forum. What if anything do I need to do to update the license on the server?

To be honest I"m not sure what the license # even is with my new owned license???

you can simply download the new package and upload the files to over write the existing files. That will update the all the license # in your files (include the funny string composition ones used involving call home).

You can find the license number by going in to the members area and there you will find your licenses listed. There will be one for the leased license and one for the owned license.

If the current site runs 3.0.7 you can simply replace the files already online with the ones from the owned license. If it is lower then 3.0.7 then replace the files already online with the ones from the owned license and run upgrade.php

You will have to upgrade to the latest version as you are running 3.0.6.

Okay, so the info is in the newly downloaded 3.0.7 version I have, and upgrading my leased license version 3.0.6 to my owned 3.0.7 will do the trick. Right? or did I miss something.

Don't I need to edit the license number in the config.php? Actually... I think I'm getting this confused with vbPortal or photopost maybe (I've done waaaay too much upgrading lately )

Thanks again everyone. I was needing a reason to upgrade to 3.0.7, and now I have a good one (feeling lazy, was just so comfortable though )
