Upgrading to 3.0.7 from 2.2.9

Just an idea, but I think I screwed my current mysql database for the purposes of the new ver of VB when I tried the impex.

That could explain the reason why I can't login as admin in the new version.

If I were to try a new install, there is an option to dump the database. (step 2 I think)... will this affect my current board if I do it?

Dumping the data base means deleteting it. so yes that would efect your board. effectvly deleting it totally.


What do you mean you can't login to the new version?

Did you try clearing your cookies and closing all browser windows and then logging back in?

First, we would need to know the exact errors.

Second, the only options are:

1. Upgrade to existing db.

or

2. Import the data using Impex.

P.S. If you dump the database on installation, you will lose all your data (users, posts, forums, etc.)

Thanks guys... I'm just a little frustrated with it all.

I'll try some more things. I really though I had it though.
Last thing I want to do is mess up my current board though.
It's a nice money maker for me.
