  • Ok, two things...

I have had to do a clean installation of vB 3.0.7 because the problems with the cookies was driving me up the wall, and nothing (not even the fix_login.php and reinstalling the orginal vB files) worked.

My problem is that I've completed all the installation steps with no problems, but after I completed all the steps, the installation script took me straight back to step one without taking me to the ACP.

The other thing I found very odd and extremely irritating was that I had to enter my customer number over and over again after each step was completed. If this is meant to be like that, then why? It is extremely annoying at the very least.

    Any ideas?

    Sounds like a cookie problem,

Make sure all the variables in config.php are set correctly.
No usernames where they expect userids
And no other characters or long names for the cookie prefix.

Ok thanks for the suggestions, I'll give it another whirl. Mind you, having to enter my customer number so often is maddening... lol.

It's still doing the same thing, when I reach step 9, and I fill in the details, I get redirected back to step 1. I've checked my config file, and it's all correct.
