Modify Footer contents

We are in the process of upgrading our servers. We haven't ever tracked the forum usage due to the fact that we were focusing on the sales end of the website.

But in order to figure out what to upgrade to, we need to track everything, including the forums.

Would I be able to modify the footer template in the control panel to include a small block of javascript which would allow us to track the forums usage for a few days?

If there is a better spot for it, how would I insert it into that spot?

Yes

the footer is one of the most accessed templates along with the header (and headinclude)

You can add html or javascript or java, or even flash if you wanted to the footer code by editing the template

AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Click on << >> > Find the FOOTER Template and click on edit.

I found the footer template but i don't know how to edit it.

how i can change the footer template from:

to :

Copyright ©2000 - 2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.

i just want to replace the " TranZ by abomt3eb " with " Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd."

Is there a way to do that? and how?
