Restrict Nicknames

Hello all again

I have the following 2 questions

1) If i undestand well, to restrict our users to use nicknames during registration like www.mysite.gr or @mysite.gr we just enter in the appropiate field in the registration options, the www and the @ right?

2) If the user, use one of this, it says there that he will see that there is an error. Can we "change" this particular error message to something else(for example : Your nickname u choose, cannot be choosen or something simillar) ?

1) Yes. Enter any strings you don't want people to use in usernames.

2) Go to your:

Admin CP -> Languages & Phrases -> Search in Phrases

Search for usernametaken in the Phrase Variable Name Only. Edit the phrase and enter your translation.

It appears there is no special error phrase for illegal usernames.

Hmm, and i cant create one ?

As i didnt want the usernametaken but the restrict name only

You can create one, but you would need to edit the files to get your separate phrase to be displayed.
