How to determine the number of reputation bars?

Hello,

Is it possible through the admin control panel or templates to manage how many reputation bars will show for each level? Let's say, I have 1000 rep. and that makes 8 bars showing on my profile, but I would only like 5 of them, for example.

I wasn't sure so I asked the others. I am told this requires modifying the code.

But vb does make a ratio.

like how many types of levels you have... the bars grow automatic.
I have vb 3.0.6 and it does that.
