News Export?

Hi,

I am looking for a modification or script for vBulletin 3.0.6 with which I can display the first post of the last X threads in a vB forum section. The purpose of this is to export news onto the front page of a website. I do not want an entire website or anything big such as a whole portal integration modification, all I'm looking for is to export the topic title, date/author, and content of first post into an external page.

I have tried searching the vbulletin.com forums but a lot of the threads I found contained indirect references to external.php and a lot of unhelpful threads. I tried to look explicitly for a news modification on the vbulletin.org forums as well, but haven't found anything so far.

Any help in the matter would be highly appreciated.

There is no function to do this. This requires custom coding. You can try or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.
