resorting forums

Is there a way to resort Forums?

Do you mean change the order? This can be done in the Forum Manager.

No, what I mean is :

every forum has a number in the database, appears like this ( forumdisplay.php?f=61 ) and because I created and deleted many forums. So I thought I could renumber them again to be like this

forumdisplay.php?f=61 --------- forumdisplay.php?f=1
forumdisplay.php?f=4 --------- forumdisplay.php?f=2
forumdisplay.php?f=55 --------- forumdisplay.php?f=3
forumdisplay.php?f=18 --------- forumdisplay.php?f=4
forumdisplay.php?f=32 --------- forumdisplay.php?f=5

You would need to manually change this in the database and make sure you make the same changes to every table containing a forumid. Personally I suggest leaving this alone because it would be too easy to make a mistake and break your forums.
