No third party software should ask for a private customer details. Including license numbers.

Some softwares use the license number, as I believe it is needed for password hashing.

You can find your license number by opening any of the php files and looking at the top. It should be an L with mabye 6 or so digits after it.

Yes. PhotoPost is another that needs your license number to integrate the userdb.

Ah yes, I understand now. And yes, it should be in the header of each .php file from version 3.0.x
