User Reports Error

One of my users is reporting this error when he goes into the UserCP.

Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in /home/kevinstr/public_html/forums/includes/functions_user.php on line 88

This is not happening with anyone else that I know of. Any one have an idea what would be causing this?

What is he doing exactly when he gets this? It's almost impossible to troubleshoot a problem that cannot be reproduced.

He's trying to access the UserCP.

Try logging in as this user to see if you have the same problem. If you don't, then the cause is somewhere on their end. It's impossible to know exactly what it is but some possibilites are: browsers, browser settings, Internet and security settings, ISP and/or cache issues, firewalls, ad-blockers, and any other application that affects Internet content.

Steve - I tried that before I posted to make sure the error was correct. What I posted is the exact error I also received.

Have you installed any hacks (including portals) or added any code to the footer, headinclude, header or phpinclude templates? If not, fill out a support ticket at:

Be sure to include the login info to your Admin CP, phpMyAdmin and FTP. If you have installed hacks or added code, then remove the hacks first then check and see if you still have this problem. If so, leave the default vB files in place and fill out the support request. Please also include a complete description of the problem.

Yes I have Vbportal installed, but no other hacks. I am not comfortable removing my Vbportal so I will try and figure it out.

After going throught the user database entries, I noticed some weird characters under the PM table for this particular user that no one else had. I deleted this entry which looked like this: Old|||1 and now he can access the UserCP. Not sure how that got there, but it did not seem right.
