  • Adding Smilies Pop Up in Quick Reply

    I'm so glad i upgraded from 2.2.7 to VB3! I'm just adding extras now.

    How can i do this?

    "Adding Smilies Pop Up in Quick Reply" box. hopefully next to the "Quote message in reply?" check box

    thnx in advance

    There is already a Smilies link in the Posting Rules box below the Quick Reply box.

    If you want a link to open up a window where you can click on smilies and have them automatically inserted, then I don't know how to do that. It would require custom code. I recommend you post on www.vbulletin.org about this.

        I did something like this for my vbarticles hack

        In your quickreply template, after :
        Code:
        <td><div class="imagebutton"><a href="#" onclick="return vbcode(\'QUOTE\', \'\')"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_editor]/quote.gif" alt="$vbphrase[wrap_quote_tags]" title="$vbphrase[wrap_quote_tags]" width="21" height="21" border="0" /></a></div></td>
        add this :
        Code:
        		<td><div class="imagebutton">
                <a href="javascript:open_smilie_window_pop($wysiwyg)">
                <img src="$stylevar[imgdir_editor]/smilie.gif" alt="Smilies!" title="Smilies!" width="21" height="21" border="0">
                </a>
                </div>
                </td>
        vbArticles.com, now open!

            Give this one a shot instead
            http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mo...ead.php?t=6449

            I use the second one in that thread and it works wonders and is easy to install.

              I had no luck with the first (script errors), or the second (just creates tags as others experienced with WYSIWYG editor)

              Anyone else?

                </td>
                No luck with this one either when using WYSIWYG editor. Click the smilie icon and all you get is....see screenie.jpg.

                Using 3.0.7
