Different styles fr different threads

I want to use different styles for different threads on my site..
For example:
Style1 for http://mysite.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=917
Style2 for http://mysite.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=317

Right now, the style changes impact the Forum as a whole.

Is it possible to delegate styles at the forum/thread level.

It is possible but it requires a bit of creativity and behind the scenes scripting.

It is most likely not something done through just templating and default style changing alone. At least not from what I've seen.

In addition. You can change the styles on the fly by using the style=1 or 2 or whatever after the url and modify the styles that way, however that's more useful if you have forums that have a specified style.

In order to achieve this, I have to enable the feature of 'allow users to choose styles".
I dont' want to provide that to the user.
I want to control the look-n-feel of how each individual forum looks, without letting the user choose the style.

Is this possible to achieve?

You can set a specific style for each forum via the Forum Manager:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Edit forum -> Custom Style for this Forum and Override Users' Style Choice
