    Subject: Issue with database table 'datastore'

    I have a problem where I edited the row 'usergroupcache' and quite honestly I mucked it up. Now all permissions to view the forum etc are denied. Is there anyone here who would be up for trying to fix my current one? or would show me how to get that back to default...

    Thanks, I will paste the code if you request.

    What exactly did you do and what errors are you getting?

      I was installing vbArcade, and ran the install file before i had edited the nessacery files, so i tried to go back on myself and change the changes made to the database. I tried editing the datastore table the row called usergroupcache , but i messed it up now the forums wont allow anyone on because of a permissions error saying you don't have permission.

      The error message i am getting is :

      vBulletin Message You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

      1. You are not logged in. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page and try again.
      2. You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
      3. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
      And i get basically the same when trying to use my admin account.

        We cannot provide support for hacks and forums running hacks here. Try asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

        I hope you made a backup of the database prior to doing this.

          It's a problem with the forum database, not with the hack

            I did ask exactly what you did. Can't help much without that info. Plus you have not provided a database error that I can use to troubleshoot this.

            The Arcade hack has been known to cause permissions problems. The first thing I recommend is that you reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

              Yes, you have an issue with the forum database because you've edited it:

              I tried editing the datastore table the row called usergroupcache
              As mentioned earlier: We can't support customized forums.

              Uninstall the hack, or get support for the addon through the author.

              PHP Code:
              <?php
              require_once('./includes/init.php');
              require_once(
              './includes/functions.php');
              require_once(
              './includes/adminfunctions.php');
              echo
              "<p>Rebuilding settings</p>";
              build_options();
              echo
              "<p>Finished! <a href=\"admincp/index.php\">Proceed to admin cp</a></p>";
              ?>
              Try to run that and hopefully it will properly rebuild the datastore options.

                Steve: I gave you all the info I have, there is no database error, the problem bears down to this, I have edited the row 'usergroupcache' and messed it up. It seems that the problem is with the usergroup permissions cache, as no-one can access any pages on the forums, so it would appear I edited this option by mistake. Is there a way of getting the row usergroupcache back to how it was, or could someone possibly provide my with the code for this row?

                Thanks.

                  I still don't understand what you did exactly. What do you mean 'messed it up'?

                    Also which table is this in? I can't find any row with this name in any table.

                      Well, i edited the database as i was trying to remove some stuff that was preventing me from running the arcade install script. After i edited the file, no-one was able to access any part of the forum.

                      I would appreciate it if you could take a look through the attatched file to see if you can spot the error. Thanks.

                      The table it is in is 'datastore' and the row is 'usergroupcache'

                          I can't open that file. Run this script to restore your datastore table:

                          This may be redundant by the time I wake up tomorrow, since it may possibly be the host doing some upgrading. But figure I should post this here incase it isn't, and see if any of you can give information. The board is currently showing the following: Upgraded to vB3 Gamma the other day, and everything was working fine
