  • How do I update Private Message counters???

For example, it says I got 557 PMs, yet there's nothing in there. I was hacked for the billionth time, and I couldn't use the back-up, so I just got the info from the tables that I needed, such as user/board/mod info, so now even though no one has PMs, it still has the old number from before the hack.

Adding an updating PM counter would be a suggestion for a future upgrade.

I skipped the PM tables, only geting the first part, ie...

      --
-- Table structure for table `pm`
      --

      CREATE TABLE pm (
pmid int(10) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
pmtextid int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
userid int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
folderid smallint(6) NOT NULL default '0',
messageread smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
      PRIMARY KEY (pmid),
      KEY pmtextid (pmtextid),
      KEY userid (userid),
      KEY folderid (folderid)
      ) TYPE=MyISAM;

      --
-- Dumping data for table `pm`
      --

      --
-- Table structure for table `pmreceipt`
      --

      CREATE TABLE pmreceipt (
pmid int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
userid int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
touserid int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
tousername varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
title varchar(250) NOT NULL default '',
sendtime int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
readtime int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
denied smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
      PRIMARY KEY (pmid),
      KEY userid (userid),
      KEY touserid (touserid)
      ) TYPE=MyISAM;

      --
-- Dumping data for table `pmreceipt`
      --

      --
-- Table structure for table `pmtext`
      --

      CREATE TABLE pmtext (
pmtextid int(10) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
fromuserid int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
fromusername varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
title varchar(250) NOT NULL default '',
      message mediumtext NOT NULL,
      touserarray mediumtext NOT NULL,
iconid smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
dateline int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
showsignature smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
allowsmilie smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL default '1',
      PRIMARY KEY (pmtextid),
      KEY fromuserid (fromuserid)
      ) TYPE=MyISAM;

      --
-- Dumping data for table `pmtext`
      --
The last thing I was going to do was go one member at a time updating the number to zero!!!

Bah! I got the IQ of a rock!

You can simply send a PM so you get something in your sent box, then empty your sent box and it'll update the numbers!!!!

LOL, I thought it was a bug too at the beginning, until I checked my Sent Box.
