PROBLEM: Lost a day of posts

I dont know what happened but this morning all of a sudden the posts from the last 12 hours or so disappeared. No older posts look touched, but the new stuff is all gone. All posts are now 13 hours old or older.

What could this be???? I posted some stuff myself in the MOD are and that is gone also. Just everything. I just posted another one and it's there, but the stuff for the last 12 hours is gone.

    Check your server's clock setting.

Well, it's not that it's showing them old. They are NOT there.

The only way I can see this happening is if:

        a. Someone mass-deleted these posts
        b. Someone restored a backup of the db

I had my server's clock set AHEAD by several hours once. People were posting, and everything appeared fine. I caught the error, and set the clock BACK. All those "later" posts vanished without a trace, until the "real" clock time caught up with the timestamp on those "orphan" posts.

how do you check server's clock. I am checking my control panel and can not find it

More stuff: I made some calendar events and they are not showing.
I just got a notification of a PM to me, and I dont see it in my inbox

Sounds like a clock problem, but how do I find out.
Is it in VB Admincp or Server's control panel?

Do you have direct access to your server? If not, you need to contact your host to ask them to check your server's time. (Also, you would need to ask if they found and CORRECTED that server's clock at some point, as it's the CORRECTION that would cause the posts to vanish.)

I just went into the Adminpanel Thread Statistics, and it only has the 26th as the last day. Where do I change it to say that today is the 28th??

time/date settings are handled directly on the server itself, and not from within the vBulletin application.

Those statictics are only updated once per day as per a scheduled task.
