Disallow Email Sending

How can I prevent individual users (or a usergroup) from sending email to other users? I have a small number of idiots who are otherwise well-behaved but keep sending inappropriate emails.

Personally I would warn these people once, and if they persisted, I'd ban them. Life is to short to babysit jerks.

You could put them in a special usergroup and set this permission to 'No:

We disallow all email on our boards because our users don't like "email stalkers":

You can easily turn this off in AdminCP-->Email Options:

Allow Users to Email Other Members


Allow users to send emails to other users. Use the option below to determine how the emails are sent.

Thanks, but the vast majority of our users like sending and receiving email. It's just a few people who abuse it. We could ban abusers but for reasons which would bore you, that's not a good solution for us. We'd really prefer to ban certain people from sending emails.
