    Backup of DB using SSH

I was able to backup my database using SSH. The resulting dump is a .sql file that is 9454k. When I did a backup through the Admin panel in vBulletin, the .sql file is 12.5MB. Is there a reason for the size difference? Do you suppose I did everything correctly?

    TIA
    Chris

Perhaps the vb dump included some comments where as the sql dump you did contained only data? (Its only my wild guess)
    Best Regards,

The mysqldump will always be smaller.
