Can't log in to my forums using MSIE

My forum was working fine this morning across different browsers.

Then suddenly, using MSIE, I can no longer login to my forum - I login, username password accepted, get taken back and the login box still appears.

I haven't changed any cookie settings (which I checked again and they're ok) so tried logging in using Netscape and Opera... sucessful login.

Went to another computer and used MSIE... can't log in so it looks to me like it's a MSIE problem. Any thoughts?

Everything with MSIE is a problem

You probably have a corrupted cookie. Try deleting it and logging in again.

Deleting the cookies was ojne of the first things I tried. The probalem exists on another PC I tried... also running MSIE.

This happens on two separate computers? Is anyone else have problems logging in or is it just you?

My live site is a vB2 site - the problem is on my vB3 site which isn't yet live (will switch over once everythings working ok and got everything the way I want it).

I've tried with two different usernames on two different computers and the common problem seems to be MSIE.

How are you deleting your cookies?

By clicking on 'Tools', 'Internet Options', Delete Cookies' in MSIE.

This is probably a cookie domain/path issue. Run this script to fix it:

vB2 and vB3 cookies don't play well together, once you've run the script steve told you to, go into your vB3 config.php and change the cookie prefix to vb3 instead of bb

Running the script allows me to access my admin CP. As the script deleted my cookie domain I re-entered it. I logged out of the forum and closed the browser. Started the browser again, attempted to login in to the site and the problem's come back.

my vb2 site is on a different domain to my new vb3 site - I've only been accessing my vb2 site using Firefox, notMSIE. I could change the cookie prefix if it's going to make a difference - I'd also need to change config files for PhotoPost because it use's the vB3 user database.

You should leave the cookie domain blank. There is no reason to change this.

I've rerun the script and left the cookie domain blank and I can log in :-)

except I seem to be going around in circles... after running Impex yesterday all my image attachments were showing a link instead of showing inline (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126870). It was when I fixed that problem that this login problem started. Now I've solved the login problem the image attachment problem has started all over again. What's going on?

Followed your link and submitted my fault only to be told "Thank you for posting a sales request" - is that just a typo or have I submitted the wrong form?

That's the correct form. You also didn't provide all the info I requested to troubleshoot this problem. I've replied asking for this info.
