Avatar and Attachment uploads do not work in 3.0.6

I'm getting the following error message when I upload an avatar to my forum:

There has been an error in the upload. Please ensure that the file has been correctly selected and that the upload has taken place successfully.
Members and staff get this error when uploading attachments:

    Attatchment only partially uploaded.
The diagnostics has this to say:

No file uploaded and no local file found. The test cannot continue.
The directories are CHModed 777 and nothing has changed recently except for vBulletin which I upgraded from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6.

The rest of the diagnostics are:

    file_uploads: On
    open_basedir: None
    safe_mode: Off
    upload_tmp_dir: None
    upload_max_filesize: 6M

    How should I fix this?

you may want to verify the directory permissions. For some reason, the last upgrade I did on vbulletin seemed to change all my directory permissions and I have had to reset them.

I did before I made this thread. They're set to 777.

        The server runs Linux.

Any specific version? Linux isn't too specific on what version.

            Attatchment only partially uploaded.

This generally means that the upload temp directory on the server does not have enough free space to complete this upload. Overall you will need free space 2 times the size of the file being uploaded.

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

I moved everything to the database and back to the file system and now everything seems to be working.

I'm getting this problem again. I've done a makeshift fix by moving the attachments to the database. Is there any way to fix this?

I also suddenly started having this problem. There is no problem with the storage, lots of HD room available.

                  My Specs:

                  System: FreeBSD server37.donhost.co.uk 4.10-STABLE FreeBSD 4.10-STABLE #1: Wed Jan i386

                  SQL: Client API version 4.0.12

I ran the diagnostics tool in admincp, on the upload test, and these were the results:

                  Help Pertinent PHP Settings
                  file_uploads: On
                  open_basedir: None
                  safe_mode: Off
                  upload_tmp_dir: /tmp
                  upload_max_filesize: 5M
No file uploaded and no local file found. The test cannot continue.

Strange that we're all suddenly having this problem. Im running 3.06 and everything was fine til yesterday, and nothings changed.

dechevious, please start your own thread so we can concentrate on each person's specific issue. Thanks.

Shining Arcanine, as far as I know this is the same issue I described in post #6. The partition in your server's tmp directory may be too full to allow this operation to be completed.

THe Attatchment only partially uploaded error is not caused by anything in vBulletin. There is something misconfigured on the server that is causing the webserver to not receive all of the file. Usually it is because there isn't enough space where the temporary upload is saved while being uploaded by the browser.
