Sort posts in threads correctly

Hi all,

This may sound like a silly question but I can't seem to find an answer in the manuals or just by looking around the admin panel.

My forums seem to be sorting threads by newest posts first. Ideally, I'd like them to show the oldest post first and the newest post last.

In the admin panel, I've seen an option saying Linear - Oldest Post first and Newest Post first. This is set to oldest post first.

I've run out of ideas... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't that just the default option? Don't you still have to change the option in your UserCP? (You can mass-change all current users with a SQL query.)

Interesting. My AdminCP here on vbulletin.com shows Linear - Oldest First, yet they are still displayed as Newest first.

Yep conqsoft, that's the problem I have. I've seen other vBulletin forums do it the way I want it to do it so I'm confused.

Well, it shows Descending in the dropdown at the bottom of the thread list. If I change it to Ascending, it works as expected. I just thought that by having it set in my UserCP, it would be defaulted to Ascending.
