Move Threads

Hello and greetz all again

The following question is a long shot, but i will ask it anyway

Recently we "upload" a new forum, which is in 3.0.6 and starting making it similar with our current one, and put inside some hacks we want.

Our admin told us, that we may not "move" the whole threads from the current forum to the new one, as it seems that the hacks we have installed in the current, "****ed up" some of the db, and maybe we will "transfer" also the problem.

Because we have some very important threads in the current forum, my question here, is if there is an another solution, to move a single thread from our current forum, to the new one, which will use when its ready.

The Forum structures in both forums are identical(dont know if this helps at all)

As i said before, u may tell me that we cant do it, but it worth a shot

Not sure what he is talking about, but you may be able to use the Impex system to import threads from one board to another.

Hello,

I have to admit i am totally newbie in the import system.

To make sure, its the same i want here, i want to take a single(not all the threads, just one!) thread(with 200 replies) from Forum A(which it url is something like gamers.gr/board/xxx) and take it to forum b(which url is something like gamers.gr/forum/xxx).

To do that, i have to go here and download something? Couldnt found a link there.

Also from the list there, is number 11, combatible with 3.0.6?(as it says till 3.0.3)

Update: Just found the manual, and found a link to take impex So if please someone could only tell me if impex can be used for one thread import or it only used for complete forums ?

You cannot specify specific threads to import. You need to import all the forums and posts.
