Weird problem

I know this is probably an issue I need to bring up with my web hosts, but just wondered if anyone can give me some advice as to why this might happen.



I've just had a member from my forums on the phone.


He was getting a "page cannot be displayed" message when he tried to access my site using the full address (ie http://www.mywebadddress.com).

I had members online and I had no issues logging in myself.

But he could access the site if he left the www part out ( ie http://mywebaddress.com).


What would cause that ?

It sounds like a DNS/routing problem. I would ask him to do a traceroute to both URLs.
