  • Hello, have a question.

lol, I am sorry but I mainly post at vbulletin.org so I am new here but I was wondering if there was a way for 2 things. First off I need a way to make it so users can only post 1 thread at a time in a specific forum. Do you see what I am saying? Also, I need a way to search for EVERY MEMBER that is sharing an ip...if this is not built in there HAS to be a hack somewhere....isnt there? Please help when ya get a chance...thanks.

I beleive the first bit will require some custom coding.

For the 2nd bit, a query...
    Code:
    SELECT u.ipaddress, u.username
    FROM user AS u
    INNER JOIN user AS u2 ON u.ipaddress = u2.ipaddress
    GROUP BY u.ipaddress, u.username
    HAVING count( u2.ipaddress ) >1
    Lats...

You run a query through the Admin Control Panel.

ACP -> Import & Maintenance -> Execute SQL Query & paste the above in.
Also...youknow what I would have to edit to get the 1st one to work ?
I've modded the newthread.php file in the past to stop people posting a new thread in an advertising area every 7 days, so I guess that would be a good place to start

This requires modifying the code. You can try asking for help with this over at vbulletin.org.
