Secondary usergroup

If a member's primary usergroup gives him permission to post in all forums, and I give him a secondary usergroup which has permission in all forums but one, will that override the permission to post in all forums of the primary usergroup?

One Yes overrides any number of No's. See this thread.

So how could I accomplish what I suggested above? If a user's primary usergroup grants them a "yes," but I'd like him to be in a usergroup which has a "no." There's no way to do this without changing his primary usergroup to the one with a "no"? Because it would be easier, since I want him to keep all his primary usergroup permissions, to just add a secondary usergroup to his name which takes away that one permission.

If a user's primary group has a Yes, then they will always have that Yes. Adding a secondary group with a No will still result in an overall Yes. Secondary groups can only add permissions, not take them away.
