New posts, possible bug

Ok maybe its a bug, maybe not

How new posts page works?

As i undestand it, i think it shows the new posts that have been made, since your last visit

Is that right?

If yes, it seems that i have a problem - bug in my forums, with the new posts thing

The problem is, that it keep "appear" the posts as new, although i have click on them and see them.

Also because of that, it keep "add" more and so the number is increasing

I think it only delete the "new posts" when the day pass, but i am not sure for that...

Anybody knows, where i can find a solution?

I don't know of a fix for this. I don't even know if it is a bug. But yes, I have encountered this very same thing.

It started about four weeks ago, while still under my original version of 3.0.3 (unpatched)... My recent posts AND last visit were WAY out of whack.

Since then it has been periodically happening, and I click on the "mark forums read" link.

I think it may be some sort of cookie issue.

I am also very curious as to whether anyone else has experienced this? Because it did not happen for the first three months that my site was up-and-running. And then started suddenly?

Upgrading to 3.0.5 should fix this.
