  • Loading Somethings Going on Behind The Scenes

    My forum has been behaving oddly

    Quite often when you load the forum the header graphic appears and everything else i.e. the forum does not appear and the browser bar at the bottom just does the green line moving up

    Sometimes it takes up to 40 seconds to show the forum - this also happens in threads as well as forum listings

    This does not happen all the time, the server istelf seems fine as my main site flies no probs also yes there are ads but they are the same ad code on the rest of my site which is fine.

    Any ideas anyone

      I see, this might be because of the Javascript you've added. I'm not really a Javascript whiz so someone else would have to check this out. Try deleting the Javascript to see if it loads alright.

        Just deleted one of the ads the top ad javascript code and it seems to be fine now - any ideas why this would happen when the same code is used throughout the site no probs at all ?

          Also it seems you have some duplicated HTML Tags that are not necessary.
          HTML Code:
          <html>

          <head>
          <title>Mobile Phone Forums @mymob.com</title>
          <base target="_top">
          <META NAME="keywords" content="Mobile Phone Forums Mobile Phone Unlocking Mobile Phone Reviews">
          </head>

          <body bgcolor="#97A08E" leftmargin="6" topmargin="6" marginwidth="6" marginheight="6">
          This code is not necessary as vBulletin Adds this through the Templates.

            Try adding the javascript to the template headinclude. If your Javascript is coded correctly it should work.

              Does anyone know a way that I can make this piece of J Script run last so that the forum opens up etc first and then this code last.
