    No freebie Email accts

How do I disallow specific email providers in user memberships?

    Like if I didn't want to allow @123.com & @abc.com & others?
    Can I set these? Where?

This is a standard setting in the Admin CP:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Banning Options ->
    Banned Email Addresses

Sorry I wasted your time, I found it...

If the email address of a user attempting to register or change their email address matches any of the addresses you specify here will see a no-permission error. For example, if you have banned 'example.com' then a user attempting to use '[email protected]' will be rejected.
Where can I edit that message?
I would like to use something like:

"If you are getting this message, please be sure you are not using an email address provided by the following providers"
Then I can list the providers that I choose to reject.

          Edit the phrase: banemail

          Mine says:

          HTML Code:
<b>The administrator has banned your e-mail address. Alternatively, you may be getting this message because you are using an e-mail address provided by a free e-mail service. All free e-mail services (Yahoo, Hotmail, Bigfoot, etc) have been banned due to abuse. Please use your ISP-assigned e-mail address to sign up and you should be fine.</b>

I have searched for this phrase & can not find it.
Please be a bit specific to it's location....

If you go to Phrase Manager, and search for that variable name that I listed, you can't miss it.

Ok, I am really feeling stupid.

I am in the Phrase manager...
It lists in abc order. I followed the list to find "BanEmail" It is not in that list.
I also used the dropdown menu & do not see anything related to BanEmail

On the left, choose Search Phrases.

                    Type in banemail.

                    Choose "Phrase Variable Name Only".

                    Click Find.

Should be about the 3rd one listed.

Ok, I found 4 things in that search:

                      1. options_options_banemail_text

Enter email addresses, or the @ symbol and email domains, separated by spaces to ban people from registering with that email or partial email.<br /><br /> You can use a partial email by entering the @ symbol followed by the domain name: @example.com. You can opt to disallow current users from keeping banned email addresses below.

                      2. options_options_banemail_title

                      Standard PhraseBanned Email Addresses

                      3. setting_banemail_desc

Email address ban lists: You may ban any email addresses from registering and posting. Type in the complete email address ([email protected]), or use a partial email address (as in @example.com).<br /> <br /> If the email address of a user attempting to register or change their email address matches any of the addresses you specify here will see a no-permission error. For example, if you have banned 'example.com' then a user attempting to use '[email protected]' will be rejected.<br /> <br /> Put a space between each email address or email address fragment.

                      4. setting_banemail_desc

The administrator has banned your email address. To contact the administrator click <a href="mailto:$vboptions[webmasteremail]">here</a>

Which one of these is the right one?

There is only one with the variable name "banemail". (Plus, the default text it has kinda gives it away. )

Since I really do not see any varibles, this was not too much help.

                          I appreciate your time though.

The items you listed, 1-4, are the variable name for that phrase. (Though, you incorrectly stated #4, since you stated it to be the same as #3. #4 should have been just "banemail". If you check again, I think you'll see that.)
