Can I turn off Avatar in certain posts/forums?

I am posting (as Administrator) news articles that I receive by permission for distribution. I would like to make those posts without my avatar attached as it distracts from the News source name. Is there a way to make certain posts without an avatar?

There is no built-in setting to do that. It may be possible with conditionals. Here is the online documentation for using template conditionals:

FWIW I have a News forum and use a separate user account with no avatar to post news articles with. It's easier than editing templates or files.
