    Slow forums

Okay, I just moved some forums to a new server. They've been running pretty slow all day, so a trouble ticket was sent. The host restarted the server, but it didn't solve the problem, so another TT was sent. Here's the response we got:

    Hello.

I've just restarted everything and double checked the database. Evertyhing is
    working fine.
Maybe you are using wrong database host in your script. It must be
    sql101.xxxxxxxx.com
I have no clue what that means, or if it has any relation to vbulletin.

    Help me??

If you were using the wrong db then your forums wouldn't work at all.

For help with optimizing your server, please see this thread:

Then post the requested info in a new thread in that forum.

so you're saying this has nothing to do with file configuration, such as config.php, right?

Do your forums work? If so, then no.

okay, good enough. that's what I was wondering.

It's not dedicated or VPS, so we'll hammer the host about it for a bit before we get too drastic. Thanks for the link, I hope I won't have to use it.
